About la mire

The collective of visual artists la mire, based in Orléans, has been developing international research and work programs for more than fifteen years under the title A Roof above your Head, which is mainly addressed to artists from the Centre-Val de Loire region. La mire also organizes solo exhibitions and puts together a series of group exhibitions under the theme Retour amont with the participation of the partners of the international residency programs.

The work facilities for the residency program are located at Art Center 108 in the idyllic old town of Orléans, where various workshops and media studios are also available by arrangement. The capital of the Centre-Val de Loire region has an art academy and is located 120 km south of Paris.

The la mire collective has been a partner in the European exchange and residency program for visual artists with Schafhof - Europäisches Kunstforum Oberbayern in Freising near Munich since 2022. The Focus > Orléans residency program takes place with the kind support of the city of Orléans.
