Margit Greinöcker studied architecture at the Linz University of Art and works as a freelance artist at the interface of architecture, society and art. She investigates the built and lived environment and responds to it with different media and practices. In 2021 she received the Margarete Schütte Lihotzky Project Scholarship for DIE BETRACHTERIN, an artistic exploration of the depictions of women in the Mariendom in Linz. Her work TOTE STADT (2018) was nominated for the Schiele Award 2022.
