Stay in Limassol: August - September 2023
My work is process-oriented and delves into becoming and transformation. There is a strong but subtle connection to what we call nature. With its forces and laws, such as gravity, density, light and shadow, I translate my questions into material. My work is guided by and serves nature.
Time is an immanent element. It can be inherent to the material or serve as a conceptual component for a narrative.
Supported by a reflective and sometimes even philosophical approach, I analyze events, examine conditions and systems in my work. The aspects that attract me the most are the ephemeral and the limits of matter, as well as dual relationships, such as the space between two people, the space between an object and its shadow or the space within space.

The artist-in-residence program takes place in the framework of the European Art Fellowship of the District Council of Upper Bavaria.
During the stay of the guest artists in Freising presentations and open studio days provide the possibility to meet with and know more about the artists. There is always the option to arrange individual visits and meetings as well.
