Stay at Schafhof: Fall 2023
Mariandrie is a visual multidisciplinary artist from Cyprus. She studied Fine Arts at the Lancaster Institute of Contemporary Art in Lancaster University, UK, and achieved an MA in Visual Arts in Education at the European University in Cyprus. Her practice navigates between the realms of painting, installation art, and textiles. Her main interest is to provoke new understandings in herself and the viewers as a way to question biases and presumptions, to find what is genuinely one’s own and what is a fabrication of our society and culture.

The artist-in-residence program takes place in the framework of the European Art Fellowship of the District Council of Upper Bavaria.
During the stay of the guest artists in Freising presentations and open studio days provide the possibility to meet with and know more about the artists. There is always the option to arrange individual visits and meetings as well.
